Dear God,
First and foremost, we thank You Jesus for Your sacrifice; because of it, this world is not our home. You have simply stationed us here for a season to perform Your perfect will in our lives. Lord we know the prince of this world (Satan) is angry because You have spoiled his authority (Col. 2:15), and he will stop at nothing until all humanity has turned entirely away from You. But God, my prayer is this: THAT YOU WILL RAISE UP MY GENERATION TO BE STRONG, STEADFAST, AND IMMOVABLE IN YOU. That You will give us a sort of Staying power that withstands the vices of Satan. Lord that You grant us a Holding power that keeps us grounded when our very world has been turned upside down. We can’t always explain or figure out why bad things happen, but God give us the Holy Ghost Power to declare in the face of disaster, calamity, strife, loss, burden, sickness, or any weapon Satan has formed against us THAT WE HAVE OVERCOME IT. The Blood of the Lamb testifies to it and we believe that report. Now Lord, we know that we are more than conquerors and overcomers in You, but sometimes we just don’t feel like it. So on the days we do feel defeated, please pick us up. God, in the multitude of Your mercy and kindness, remind us that You see us and You care. Not only do you know the number of hairs on our heads (Matt. 10:29-31, Lk 12:7), but You know the number of tears that have fallen from our eyes. You know the number of days we’ve felt like giving up and the number of sleepless nights. The number of people that have turned against us. The number of losses that we’ve experienced. But as the Loving Father You are, grant us Peace and comfort in the midst of it all. Carry us through it because we won’t make it without You. Lord also protect us and cover us in all that we do- in our going out and coming in. And we will be mindful to give You all the glory, honor, praise, and worship that is due Your name, God. In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray…”
